Cortland Endurance Float Rods
The Cortland Endurance float rods were designed from the ground up to meet the needs of the Great Lakes steelhead float angler. The FishUSA staff and associated guides were involved with Cortland from the beginning in developing these rods. The actions, lengths and components were all selected based on the various rivers, streams and weather conditions encountered in the Great Lakes fishery. These rods are also suitable for west coast salmon and steelhead float fishing.
The rods are designed around a special 3 layer HM45 graphite construction with an ultra thin graphite outer layer for strength and durability (see picture to the right). The most stunning feature of the Endurance Series would have to be the rod blank. Before finishing the rod blank are wrapped with an ultra thin graphite fiber, increasing the overall strength of the rod and providing a distinctive look.
All Endurance rod blanks are finished in transparent olive sparkle flake and wrapped in tan with sliver trim. Fuji off-set guides, Pac Bay graphite sliding rings and a "Tennessee" style (all cork) handle complete the rod's overall appearance. The handle dimension for both rods is 20", from the butt end to the start of the blank above the handle. Both models come in a unique PVC/cordura covered triangular cross section tube (can't roll) with an integral nylon divider bag.
These rods also feature Cortland's Limited Lifetime Warranty. For details on the Cortland warranty, please click HERE.
We stock these rods in a 11' 6" two piece and a 13' 0" three piece model. Both rods are rated two to eight pound mainline, but the 13' 0" model will easily handle ten to twelve pound mainline.
