The Cortland 8/9 Weight Salmon/Steelhead Outfit includes a 9' 0" 8/9 weight, four-piece rod, a Cortland ProCast 7/8 reel, and 100 yards of backing and a floating weight-forward 8 weight fly line.
The rod features a cork full-wells handle and a small cork fighting butt. The ProCast 7/8 reel is designed with a cast aluminum frame and spool making it extremely light weight. The reel features an adjustable disk drag and a polyurethane spool handle. The ventilated spool and arbor helps to decrease weight as well as speed line drying time. The ProCast 7/8 reel is a mid-arbor fly reel with a spool diameter of 3 3/4".
This is a great outfit for someone looking to get started in salmon/steelhead fishing, or as a back-up outfit for the seasoned angler. The four piece design makes storage and transport a breeze. The Cortland 8/9 Weight Salmon/Steelhead Outfit will also work well for bass.
