Climax 98 Freshwater Trout Tapered Leaders offer the best of two worlds, powerful turn-over because of the stiff butt sections and delicate tippet presentations.

These leaders are popular for all styles of fly fishing and are great for use with dry flies and subsurface flies like streamers and nymphs.

We offer these knotless tapered leaders in sizes 3X to 6X and in either 7½ or 9 foot lengths. They are low-visibility green in color. Additional information on these leaders is listed in the table below.
