In addition to being fast and sensitive, Amp rods are built extra tough, thanks to Berkley's "Armadillo Hide" rod building technique, which eliminates cut fibers from the blank. Not only does this finish keep the blank free from imperfections, it increases strength and durability ensuring that an investment in an Amp rod pays off for a long time. At the heart of the Amp rods is increased sensitivity to give anglers the best chance to turn even the subtlest strike into a catch. Amp rods also feature X-Posed, skeleton reel seats and split grip cork handles, which allows the hand to remain in constant contact with the rod blank to take sensitivity and light weight to a new level.
